FLAX AND WALNUT GRANOLA RECIPE
Recipe from BH&G Magazine
Ingredients
Preheat oven to 325°F. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper.
In a large bowl combine:
1/2 unsweetened applesauce
1/4 cup pure maple syrup
2 Tbsp. Olive Oil
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. nutmeg (I sometimes use pumpkin spice)
Stir in:
3 cups rolled oats
1 1/2 cups walnuts
3 Tbsp. ground flaxseeds
2 Tbsp. chia seeds
Spread mixture in prepared pan. Baked 45 to 50 minutes, stirring after 20 minutes.
Makes 4 1/2 cups.
