A BIT ABOUT KATHY

Dedicated to Client Well-being, Self Awareness and Confidence Through the Pilates Method

Kathy has been a practicing Pilates instructor since 2008. The foundation of instruction at her studio combines the physical with the inner emotional and spiritual journey for each individual client. By integrating body, breathing, movement and meditative awareness, Kathy promotes insight into the inter-dependency of all these aspects in personal health and well-being. At It's Personal Pilates and Fitness, Kathy uses her extensive training and in-depth understanding of the human body and psyche to teach and cultivate awareness of one’s own practice and life process.

Kathy has a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology (health and fitness promotion) from California State University - Fullerton. She is also a Certified Pilates Teacher through both Polestar Pilates and and the Pilates Method Alliance (PMA). Kathy has been a Personal Trainer through the American Council on Exercise (ACE) since 2006. She maintains her cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification through the American Heart Association.

Kathy provided personal, duet and group Pilates instruction for over a decade at St. Jude Wellness and Rehab Center in Brea, California with a focus on individual attention and post-rehab training.

The realization that individual attention is slowly coming to an end at most studios and wellness centers, Kathy decided to launch It's Personal Pilates and Fitness with a focus on attention to detail and individual client needs.
